Or do they think we're all wealthy? mutual_aid is quite a busy sub, and while the total donation amount isn't small, it's not really all that big either.

See, your problem here is assuming any of them have ever looked at hexbear. They talk about Hexbear, they don't actually go there, after all, they all say that Hexbear is evil bad Turmp supporters! That's bad, so they never go to the bad place and just keep talking about how bad they are.
I'm thinking that their constant accusations of "evil dictator" against socialist leaders, and people in socialist countries mindlessly following them no matter how evil they are, is because western libs will follow their leader no matter openly horrific their actions become.
