It’s completely untrue that Hexbear is federated with most of the other major Lemmy instances? Either this person knows nothing about Lemmy or they’re deliberately lying.
Preston (who has an account here on lemmygrad: @aspensmonster@lemmygrad.ml) doesn't know about hexbear's federation I assume.

No, we are, you were correct about that one. We aren't federated with most other large instances, though. Lemmy.world, lemm.ee, etc.

Your sentiment was correct. Hexbear, Lemmy.ml and Lemmygrad make up what the rest of lemmy would call the "tankie block."
Lemmy.ml was the only one to be filled with liberals because of the reddit exodus.
