How can you only assume you’ll win? It’s not like democrats are willing to play dirty against republicans so there’s no guarantee either. I went on a quick trip with an old liberal friend. Well, I've decided to finally phase him out of my life. He is the stereotypical liberal to a t.
He lectured me about how I had to vote for Biden, how he hates tankies, etc. He even agreed with all my points about how Biden is collaborating with genocide, people can't afford to live, etc. but still just kept saying well things can get worse so you have to vote for Biden.
These people's entire worldview was built on this moment never happening.
Edit: I did tell him tankies is a basically meaningless term now and people who use it in earnest sound childish. He didn't like that.
I could never have your patience, I'd rather they deny the genocide and vote for Biden than acknowledge the atrocity and make excuses.
I had my political awakening much later in life. Unfortunately I was stuck with a lot of bad friends (not just because they have 🗑️ politics, too). I'm making moves to phase most of these people out of my life. Unfortunately it's hard to make friends later in life.
