    Eurocentrism has brought with it the destruction of peoples and civilizations that have resisted its spread. In this sense, Nazism, far from being an aberration, always remains a latent possibility, for it is only the extreme formulation of the theses of Eurocentrism. If there ever were an impasse, it is that in which Eurocentrism encloses contemporary humanity.

        Nah Samir Amin. Good guess though, Parenti, at least to me, was influenced by similar ideas to Amin. Parenti's quote about the anti communist framework being able to paint anything in a negative light is based on the same ideas as Amin's critique of culturalism. As Amin says, "culturalism can prove any formulation and its opposite."

          You should absolutely read it. Don't worry, it's not some extremely academic work with mathematical calculations, like some of Amin's other works. The English translation is written in language that is understandable, just keep a dictionary or Google handy to look up definitions of words. There are many ideas presented that are more relevant today than ever.
