But, if money defines things... oh boy. It's not my fault that the hegemonic interest of the western powers don't finance an epic movie about the connection that existed between the repression on Indochina, Argelia and the Central - South American dictatorships. And how what the french learned was later teached to one of the bloodiest armies in SA. Fun fact: The argentian army send operators to central america, to teach the counterinsurgency and torture methods learned from the french (one of the receptors, where the CONTRAS).
The Marie-Monique Robin documentary go really deep on the french influence and presence in the LA dictatorships. Also, on the denialism from the french goverment.
PD: You can always watch “The Battle of Algiers”. Is a good representation of the French Doctrine. Later, the French School methods of counterinsurgency.
