I've heard a few people sing their praises, and a few say that they're not worth it. Some cost $80, some are $400, but I don't really know what makes one better than the other, or either of them better than a $20 glass pipe.

Sometimes if I'm smoking every day I'll develop a cough, so I'm guessing that it's not that great for my lungs. Would a vaporizer be better?

works fine out of the box with any ground bud, easy to clean. they have a capsule thing to avoid any buildup of dust in the lower chamber that costs $5 and I use it just in case because there's no way to replace it. but yeah I got this thing for $60 and it rules. seems like most of the vapor trail is ceramic and the screen but there is silicone on the top of the heating chamber which also collects residue at the bottom of the ceramic which condenses the vapor, and ceramic can mean substances which have polymers in them these days, legally, just FYI if you're paranoid. so I make sure to let it cool down in between the 4:00 heating cycles. only heating to 180-200° C though.

your lungs are definitely fucked up sorry to be rude. the more expensive ones have better controls, attachments, heating time and vapor production, I think the best ones would be around $120 price range. wouldn't shell out too much. ideally you'd want a completely glass vapor trail and heating element I think

it's just way more efficient and less harsh on your lungs. plus it looks a lot cooler than a joint or whatever let's be real

      re: polymers

Storz and Bickel makes a few vaporizers that have gotten medical device certifications for medical marijuana users so it should be safe long term

Very pricey choice but even the certification aside, a lot of people have said they're worth it. I def don't regret my Crafty+ purchase

      • looks good, those have a nice design to them as well, I like the brickier ones. when this thing breaks down I will probably get one of those. and it will, I can tell, even if I continue keeping it in a bag to hide the air grate, etcetera

I point out $60 because that is how much people here will pay for a plastic cartridge of ethanol and terpene slop with natural flavoring. you can get an ounce of b buds or a whole dry herb vape for that.

I don't partake much nowadays but when I did, I used this one and quite enjoyed it. Also took the grate out and used capsules.
