You cannot say the “threads” are good and defend how Hasan has been glazing Kamala the past few days.

I’ll stick to the topic of Palestine: Ever since Biden dropped out, Hasan has consistently talking about how Kamala is good on Palestine. Even before, he talked of how Kamala distanced herself from Biden’s pro-genocide position, bringing up that one clip where she said the word “ceasefire” as if that’s proof.

This is either a lie while he knows the truth that Squirrel has pointed out in multiple threads (more than the two I linked), in which case Hasan is being a grifter liar, hiding the truth from his audience for other domestic considerations.

Or he doesn’t know just how horrible Kamala is on Palestine, in which case he is irresponsible and uninformed, misleading his massive audience like the blind leading the blind. He calls himself a political commentator - it’s his responsibility to be informed on the policies and actions of the Democratic Presidential nominee.

Hasan said how he was not going to vote for Biden because of his pro-genocide actions. Kamala has the same positions, even worse in some cases. Yet Hasan is not pointing those out, either due to his own ignorance or for other reasons. Both are bad.

I'll preface this by saying I'm not much of a hasan watcher, he just puts out too many hours of shit for me and the density of analysis or even entertainment is so low compared to good non-streaming slop.

but what I have seen from him lately doesn't bear this out. His feeling that Kamala is likely to win is simply not an endorsement, nor do I see it as "glazing her up". He is analysing the horse race, and I think he's right that if she plays her cards right the stain of this genocide will not hurt her nearly as much as it hurt Biden, regardless of the reality (that she is seemingly just as committed to isntrael and supportive of genocide as biden is). I don't know if I saw the clip where she said ceasefire, but I'm willing to be that again that's about better messaging/optics for her, not about action.

Now is it responsible to take such glee in analyzing the horse race and has he done enough to show his audience how horrible Kamala will also be? Probably not. Like I said he's far from flawless, I just don't think its fair to say he supports Kamala or promotes her to his audience

His coverage of Kamala, especially the last couple days, has not been just analyzing the “horse race”. I’m not saying he agrees with her policies/actions.

But his coverage has been focused on getting her elected, becuase to him she is good enough while Biden was not. This might even be your position. But where I draw the line, and where it really galls me, is when he lies about her record and views on Palestine.

What was a redline when it came to Biden is just an inconvenient truth to be hidden and ignored until the election.

None of what Squirrel has talked regarding Kamala on Palestine has gotten any coverage on Hasan’s streams. When her views on Palestine come up, in fact, you could be forgiven for assuming she is even pro-Palestine (at least compared to others near her position), if all you do is watch Hasan.

I'll have to watch more of his coverage then because that's very unfortunate if true. it was not the vibe I got but like I said, not watched much of it.

I don't get what's like very specific about mentioning only what squirrel has said about kamala on the thread. It is known to him and his chatters what the democrat stance is. And what kamala's stance is. Its supporting the genocide. Just cause he didn't extensively talk about what posts she shared doesn't mean he wants to lead his audience to vote for her.

But his coverage has been focused on getting her elected, becuase to him she is good enough while Biden was not. This might even be your position. But where I draw the line, and where it really galls me, is when he lies about her record and views on Palestine.

Wydm getting her elected, do you think he is running some super pac for kamala.

He didn't lie though. He said we shall and wait how she will position herself regarding Israel.

Biden dropped out on Sunday at 2 pm eastern. You made this thread at Monday at 6 pm eastern. It has been barely 1 day since Biden has dropped out. On Saturday, Hasan did mostly non-political stuff. On Sunday Hasan mostly news coverage of Biden dropping out and all the fall out surrounding.

      https://www.twitch.tv/videos/2204448187?t=5h5m27s

      https://www.dropsitenews.com/p/can-kamala-harris-wipe-the-blood

Hasan talked about Kamala's bad policies on Israel-Palestine today at the timestamp that I linked. He reads the newly released article by Jeremy Scahill (formerly of the intercept, now dropsite news) about the history of Kamala's bad policies on Palestine. Hasan says during the segment that for Kamala to beat Trump, she would have to demonstrate a change in policy towards Israel and Palestine. He also says that the Kamala needs to demonstrate a change of policy of on the US-Mexico border because she is known to have a right wing border policy. You will remember the famous "do not come" moment. Then he says that he does not believe that Kamala will significantly change the US track record toward Israel policy. Then he starts to read an article from Politico that says Kamala is expected to meet with Netanyahu on Wednesday this week and the article says that Kamala is going to put more pressure on Israel to accept a ceasefire deal. Hasan then says that if Kamala fakes caring about Palestinians she would still only be slightly better than Biden. Hasan is making a criticism of Kamala, indicating that he knows that she does not actually care about Palestinians. Then Hasan says that many Democrats are refusing to attend Netanyahu's speech at congress and he says that every Democrat should refuse to attend because it is ridiculous that Netanyahu is allowed to speak at congress. Hasan says that if the Democrats use police to remove protestors from outside the event, it would be perceived worse than the time that trump cleared BLM protests. He reads the whole dropsite news article after that. I'm not typing it all out, watch the video or read the article yourself. The segment ends at 5h35m.

To be clear, he's doing news commentary on Kamala's chances to win because people want to know that. When any other news reporter analyzes the possibility of outcomes, you don't assume that it's what they want to happen. Hasan doesn't support Kamala. Some old lore is that he had a huge rivalry with khive in 2020, the last political election. The retweet is a joke. Hasan is making fun of Kamala fans using the "context of what came before" and "what can be unburdened by what has been". The joke is making fun of Kamala. Hasan also pretty commonly wears MAGA stuff and even like old Reagan merch as a joke. It doesn't mean that he supports Ronald Reagan or Donald Trump.

Hasan's position on this so far seems to me that he is hoping that Kamala will have a change in policy towards Israel from what Biden has been doing. He wants to see if Kamala has a change of policy after the Netanyahu meeting on Wednesday. You can say that this is naive, but he is desperately wishing that the US has a change of foreign policy towards Israel. That does not mean that he supports Kamala. The only reason that he has not talked about this sooner is that it has barely been 24 hours since Biden has dropped out. The squirrel on twitter made the call out tweet that you posted only like 3 hours after Biden had dropped out. Hasan was covering other news at the time.

Hasan has been doing news coverage in support of Palestine for many years. I think even before he started twitch streaming, he was doing news coverage in support of Palestine for TYT. He's been doing coverage in support of Palestine on Twitch since he started streaming on twitch. Hasan did coverage of Palestine during Trump's presidency and did analysis of the impact that Trump's presidency had on the Israel-Palestine conflict, such as the Abraham Accords, Trump declaring that Jerusalem is the capital of Israel, and Trump cutting off aid money to UNRWA. Many people on hexbear even didn't pay attention to Palestine during this period because I often see people asking what Trump's policies on Israel are. After October 7, Hasan lost like 1/3 of his audience for doing news coverage against Israel in support of Palestine. He has organized fundraisers for Palestinian aid in the past year which raised more than 1 million dollars, at least twice, I can't remember if there was a third fundraiser.

it's funny coming to this thread after leaving his stream earlier where people were trying to drop racism/misogyny labels on him for not out and out supporting kamala

I don't think hasan's stream chatters are unaware about america's involvement or dnc involvement in the genocide. Nor are they blindly led to believe whatever.

I don't think not mentioning or bringing up how kamala supports israel is some deep grift. The stream has been about the hubris surrounding democrats and a bunch mockery towards them. It is very established how critically all of the american admin is supportive of genocide. He has talked about her positions and I don't think he is saying kamala is great on israel policy.
