because otherwise they’d probably be second at the current moment, tbh

The US military has killed 2 million people per decade every decade since ww2.

The IDF does not even come close to the US military.

16,000,000 still ain't got nothing on the British Empire's multiple man-made famines that replaced policies of giving food to people who were starving to ensure they didn't die with new policies of not doing that because it enabled them to wield starvation as a cudgel against any and all forms of organized labor. The British Empire killed anywhere from 10 million to 200+ million depending on if you count doing nothing to address public health issues for the poor and especially the colonized as social murder (lib historians do not).

Absolutely, the British empire was unfathomably evil, thanks in no small part to the incredibly open classism of the british aristocracy that never really evolved all that much over feudal times.

Yea it's been pretty lib seeing people act like Israel is a unique evil but like no, so many countries in the West have already done just as bad or worse but with infinitely better PR

It's really more the horrifying spectacle of it. In Vietnam people had access to rapid or sometimes even live TV news about what was happening in the war, and it changed public opinion drastically. Same with TikTok now. It's hard to swallow any of Israel's bullshit when you've seen footage of children screaming with bones sticking out of their mangled legs, crying near-skeletal because they can't stand the unending pain of starving to death, plastic bags of 70kg of shredded meat each being counted as a person and whatnot.

Is that an average? I'm really curious about your sourcing on that because that's a hell of a mic drop to have in my pocket later.

I saw a comrade say it once and I've been repeating it ever since because I know that even if you checked the numbers they'd be fucking BAD. I know for a fact that it's true for the last few decades because the deaths in Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya and so on are all attributable to the US. Going further back we've got the Korean War. Vietnam. We could also throw in Yemen? Syria. Iran?

It depends on what you want to attribute to them. But even being conservative the numbers aren't gonna be good are they?

Someone could do the numbers if they want, I've never felt the need to, that number is horrific and definitely feels right.

Yeah exactly why I've never really cared to check the exact figure. I know damn well it's still awful even if they check it.

yeah I know, just thinking that since she’s saying this aspirationally she’s talking like there’s another army to overcome, which implies Israel since we’re discussing wanton lethality.

it’s already an instance of “we gotta turn the Hitler dial up” but if you were asking for a counterexample for any army that comes close w/rt unadulterated lethality it’s gotta be Israel, especially if we’re considering the American attention span
