All these people are convinced that Trump would be worse for Palestinians.
And maybe they're right, maybe Trump will send in straight up death squads. Maybe he'll build vans that pipe the exhaust into the cargo area and ship them to tel Aviv. Maybe he'll start sending the Israelis Zyclon b.
But the fact remains. The last year has been the most deadly for Palestinians. Ever. More Palestinians have been killed in the last year than died during the formation of the state of Israel. More Palestinians have had their homes destroyed in the last year, then ever before in modern history.
At this point, saying Trump would be worse for Palestine is like saying that Himmler would have been worse for the Jews. Possibly technically correct, but also a poor attempted genocide denial.
It's fundamentally beside the point that the entire neoliberal edifice is demonstrably the worst thing for the Palestinians, and building an actual opposition does mean your opponent is liable to increase their aggression. A hypothetical Trump win is nothing but neoliberalism getting more aggressive as it is challenged (scratch a liberal, etc.). We cannot let fear of that turn us away from strategies that can actually solve things in the long term because all hands are too committed to bailing water instead of fixing the leak.
I've said before that people who want America to get better have to be prepared to lose; we should be voting for third party (I'm a Jill Stein supporter myself) even if it means we lose this election. We may even lose the next one, but how many elections can we lose before people get sick of Republican victories and have zero choice but to vote third party? The Republican party itself is getting more unhinged because the DNC keeps supporting the most psychotic elements so they can tell dem voters you have to vote for them.
I don't think we should minimise the dangers of the Republicans creating a one party state or there being a military coup. I mean, the Democrats won't do anything to stop it, but we don't have an electoral path in America at all. Maybe we did a couple of decades ago, not anymore.
It doesn't. I'm just saying that the electoral path does not exist for the left in the us. This is true now, but especially true if republicans fulfill their wet dream of creating an open dictatorship of the bourgeoise
If we work together this doesn't have to come to pass. Unfortunately most Americans aren't advanced in their knowledge of politics to understand this. It's all "My team" vs. "Their team" and culture reinforces this.

It's very interesting how comfortable all the libs are with letting a fascist set the minimum standard for acceptable behavior
One said I wanted them dead simply for saying we're allowing the current situation. They're super fucked up
Uwu I'm a small little flower who will wilt if you don't soak me with blood
Uh guys I think maybe we shouldn't feed people's blood to this flower
and just let them die???
if we dont feed them like that then the others will feed it 10x
Cant we figure out how to not feed it blood?
how dare you be pro other party!
if we don't drench the flower someone else gonna drench the flower
To be fair, you never said you didn't want to impale them on a pike, a totally normal and rational thing to be worried about in the year 2024.
Fair but also never implied I wanted anyone on one.
Guess saying I want a genocide to stop meant putting people on pikes?
They said it not us
I know but I'm betting that won't fall under lw vague uncivil rules
Put those palestinians kids on pikes instead so that at home we don't have to be hypethetically be put on pikes

how does having two parties matter when they both represent capital?
It doesn't. I'm just saying that the electoral path does not exist for the left in the us. This is true now, but especially true if republicans fulfill their wet dream of creating an open dictatorship of the bourgeoise

The US is already a one party state.
When you’re Trump and you have to be more genocidal than Joe Biden
