      trot to neocon pipeline is a funny and strangely common occurrence

      for example, Irving Kristol, Seymour Lipset, David Wurmser, and many other titans and founders of neo conservativism were former trotskyists

      happened a lot last century with trots who went to the US and their whole deal was hating the USSR. in that context it kinda makes sense I think with the kind of friends they might make there.

      Trots tend towards western chauvinism because they believe socialism can only emerge at the most developed nexuses of capitalism, i.e. Europe and North America

      This leads straight to a horrifically mistaken belief that if these "developed nexuses" spread their control over the whole globe then socialism will emerge globally too....somehow

      This leaves them wide open to white supremacist narratives and co-option by every elite western institution in existence
