The other 48% may be the kind that are doing the "totally not racist" bullying evasion thing of chanting "TRUMP! TRUMP! TRUMP!" at visiting teams with certain... attributes. us-foreign-policy

          Ugh, shit sucks.

While I know next to nothing about how Gen alpha will shape up politically, when I started out substitute teaching one of my first students was this kid, let’s call him Henry.

Henry was a pretty well-intended kid, he really liked the UK and Japan in particular (I didn’t have the heart to tell him) and he mentioned that NATO stands for the free world….and mentioned that the Middle East and Russia are just absolutely unsalvageable (but FWIW. He did express sympathy for Malala and he think she’s cool.)

This trend tends to be consistent with Gen alpha people who have given politics any serious thought, and tend to be…NAFOy. “liberal democracy good and the US is the liberal democracy factory!”

generic centrist vibes-based hawkism is like the stem cell of what ideology an american develops into as far as ive seen (I was there up until i was abt 10yo, and that was even while i started becoming a politics nerd)
