I feel like his takes lack nuance. Goblin slayer himself is like one of those red army snipers that killed entire villages worth of natzi soldiers and the innocents that were their supply lines. Obviously monstrous but fighting worse monsters.
Then why are the goblins depicted with uglyness? Their depiction has so many antisemitic tropes and "beauty = good", "ugly = bad" elements which naturally are also ableist. Antifascism has to be counter reactionary, which goblin slayer's aesthetic isn't. So the red army sniper reading sadly doesn't work and even then the Nazis did kill kids. The Soviets did save them.
