there's also a major thread of the show that corporate can never figure out how Michael gets such good results out of his employees, and by the time he leaves it has become clear that the Scranton office does so well because their idiot major literally does nothing. the employees get to work. Michael is an utter dipshit, sure, but he would never seriously fuck with people. everyone knows that the only person who would fuck with them is in corporate, and they're mostly focused on Michael being really outwardly dumb. is The Office lib? sure, of course it is. is it something lib that can easily be read as Leftist? yup.
