hot take: it's a good, funny show. michael's cringe of season 1 is hard to bear, but when you watch it and realize he is acting how he thinks cool people act on camera, it helps that a bit. he's endearing when he doesn't feel the need to be "on." Creed is a very funny side character; the Jim & Dwight dynamic is entertaining, the Jim & Pam will they/won't they is cute; Angela is funny, Mose is funny, Andy Bernard is great to hate, Toby really is the worst. don't let your jaded post-ironic sense of humor prevent you from finding humor in things. not everything needs to be an anti-capitalist critique

there's also a major thread of the show that corporate can never figure out how Michael gets such good results out of his employees, and by the time he leaves it has become clear that the Scranton office does so well because their idiot major literally does nothing. the employees get to work. Michael is an utter dipshit, sure, but he would never seriously fuck with people. everyone knows that the only person who would fuck with them is in corporate, and they're mostly focused on Michael being really outwardly dumb. is The Office lib? sure, of course it is. is it something lib that can easily be read as Leftist? yup. Michael Shur (one of the writers, Mose) is certainly not a comrade, but it seems like he mostly can't help pointing out how downright dumb white collar lib society is.

Wasnt michaels cringe the whole point of his character? He’s someone who tries too hard because as a boss he would be listened to and he mistakes that as respect?

    It never gets "good."

You either get Stockholm-syndromed into caring about the characters or you feel secondhand embarrassed for them the whole ride through and there's no in-between.

    spoiler

That's not to say you can't enjoy it, just that if you're waiting for it to "get good" you may be better off looking for a new show.

You are right of course; the sentiment I was trying to convey is it's a middling show that you can either learn to enjoy as you "build relationships" with the characters, or find uncomfortable in its entirety.

Honestly just look up the most referenced bits on youtube. There's those few good bits but the show as a whole is eh. Asian Jim is a good little bit.

Me like it. Netflix went with a very generic name for reason even though the original was fine, it's La Casa De Papel/The Paper House which is tenfold better then Money Heist. There's some goofiness in it, particularly with a few shootouts, but good. Vis a Vis is also good and has two actresses from Papel in it, but gets a bit weaker towards the end.

It's basically fuck the police, fuck the state : the TV show. I enjoy it a lot. Plus it repopularized Bella Ciao.😍

Tastes are objective, so the answer is Season 3, Episode 5. If you watch everything up to that and don't like it, you're right. If you also then watch Season 3, Episode 5 and don't like it, you're wrong.
