I love when a pro wrestler gives their opponent a little rub/touch after a big move to make sure they're okay/tell the other wrestler they're okay. Especially if the move was sloppy or not executed perfectly.

It's also great when a more established wrestler wins over a young up-and-comer and gives them a tap/rub/tickle/kiss after the pin to let them know they did a good job and had a good match.

I love old media. I'd love to have a job as like a digital archeologist of sorts, uncovering and curating old shit. I suppose what makes me happy is finding footage of something preserved on youtube or some other video hosting site.

Lots of game stuff mostly, probably the thing that wowed me the most recently were videos on youtube from the net yaroze, an expensive home game development ps1 console from the late 90s. Very interesting stuff.

Damn, that sounds rad! I didn't even know there was such a thing as a home game dev console.

Yup. I knew it existed because of game magazines but that was my first time ever seeing the games people were making for it. ofc they're very simple little games, you needed the actual dev hardware sony supplied you to make full fledged games but for hobbyists it was a fun toy.

we would be the best of friends I think that 'digital archeologist' job is exactly in the same vein as my dream job just being an archivist.

I had no idea of that, but that’s pretty cool!

Back before people nerded out too much over it, i loved when illustrators populated scenes with recognizable figures and scenes from media, like painting a diner scene and some recognizable smudges in the background is the scene from When Harry Met Sally. Funny little homages, that are now expected and that sucks the fun out of it imo.

When I’m out birding and another birder gives me a tip as to seeing a cool bird. It’s always a lovely moment of connection and shared understanding, which gives me momentary hope for humanity.

I don't know anything about birding, but I love seeing Bluejays and Robins when I'm out walking, blows me away how beautiful they are.

Similarly, feeling the gas bubbles pop when slapping out pizza dough, then seeing a smooth bubbleless pie come out the oven

Talking about wrestling, i love the "fighting spirit" trope. Heel is beating the face, face looks like hes about to collapse, but then starts to fight back against the heel, causing the heel to retreat from his opponents fury. Big fan of Ishii doing this in matches, as well as Kobashi and Bret Hart.

Otherwise, i love finding bugs and glitches in games, and its pretty cool when you occasionally see that devs also caught it, but decided to keep it in because its funny or useful.

Along these lines, one of my absolute favorite wrestling moments in recent history is:

      spoiler

At AEW Revolution 2020 during the Tag Team Championship match when Kenny kicked out at 1 after the Bucks had the audacity to give him a Golden Trigger. My favorite kick out at 1 of all time.

Watching the Misawa vs Kobashi match in NOAH is like watching a war between two old gunslingers. Sooner or later, one of them is going to go down, and he's not coming back up. It rules.

I really need to watch more NOAH/AJPW matches.

Here's the NOAH match. Check out the rest of the channel, it's so good. I usually just hit play on a random video and i won't be able to leave my seat. Another match i'd suggest is Kobashi vs Samoa Joe in ROH and Terry Funk vs Cactus Jack in either FMW or W*ING (i can't remember which).
