No amount of kind words, force, tears or blood could convince it to let me replace the pads.
I'd have expected the pump or heater to die, maybe starting to leak. But not just being stuck so hard, that all non destructive attempts to open it fail

I have an $8 coffee brewer and it both is good and bad at the same time because it doesn’t get the water super hot which is nice because I can drink the coffee right away but it’s bad because it gets cold fast
