I really would have much preferred a time-loop confirmation where Eren is having to fix the world. It would do so many things: He would never be free, which was his dream. A thing that Isayama claims is the worst thing you can accomplish. It would open the ending to a lot of different possibilities. It would resolve a lot of plotholes.

But instead we get this lol.
