I'll edit my responses here...

A small anecdote here: I read a few days ago that apparently, Alzheimer's patients get their daily routine and circadian rhythm knocked around by this policy

Edit 2: It's funny how people are talking about time, as if this were my 2nd post of discussion on why time measurement is bullshit, on my account...

Some memorable replies here:

another point is that it's probably not great for animals with a strong internal clock

Do not make me get up an hour earlier I will fucking cut you.

On the other hand it is nice the park is open later but have you considered just adequately lighting the park bike paths?

it's bad and we should commemorate the inventor with a public toilet

I’m basing what I am saying off of my own life. My own experiences suggest that saying that school should start later is like saying that the sky is orange. It simply sound ludicrous like a suggestion made in jest. I wouldn’t have an issue with time being moved back if that didn’t cause a later realize in the afternoon. I simply know that isn’t going to be the way it is

Because this so-called evidence seems as ridiculous as to say that the sky is orange. I simply am saying I would hate it to have later work/school start times. For myself, I would be so incredibly miserable. I don’t care what others say in regards to my comments on it. If I had had to start later and stay later I probably would have wanted to kill myself with those hours
