I've been using a 10 year old Turtle Beach gaming headset to listen to music because I prefer over-the-ear headphones over earbuds since they usually hurt my ears and it's all I got.

    The Philips-SHP9500 are an extremely good pair of a more audiophile/hifi headphone, especially for the good price too, runs for about 70-100 bones depending on where you look.

    Plus if you pair it with a vmoda boom pro mic , you basically have a headset that is better than 90% of headsets out there for only like 100 bucks

    You might want to look into dacs and amps and stuff if you really want some quality for your music
