im at episode 4 and ngl it's been kinda boring, should i keep going or not?
Part 1 is the weakest, but also the shortest.

depends what interesting means. the plot will never be particularly deep, just an excuse to get to cool fights. (at least that applies to part 2 and especially part 3 and onwards where it's almost basically just episodic fights with villain of the weak but still with overall plot progression every episode). part 1 and 2 are kinda outliers because they don't have this villain of the weak format but at least part 2 is actually fun to watch.
IMO the biggest mistake Araki made was switching to MotW format in part 3. Especially because it's not well done in part 3, that shit is so long and a slog to get through. The last act is really good but so many fights leading up to it (not all but most) are obvious filler. It gets better in subsequent parts (esp. 4, and later, 7) but I couldn't help but feel that Stardust Crusaders was painfully formulaic.

I liked it from the start but YMMV. People seem to not like part 1 for some reason IDK.
Part 1 has more insane co-stars in terms of personalities than many of the others. Dio is at his best in it. I also think Hamon is a better power system than stands tbh.
Everyone in part 6 is good except anasui, but I'm willing to forgive that for the scene with the crocodile.

I never really got into it. I would just watch your JoJo friends' favorite episode or two with them and call that that.
after parts 1 and 2 the "magic" system changes completely and the show gets better
