That's it. That's the post.

Been listening to "The Dollop" for a while now but just recently decided to give "The Westwing Thing" a go.

Gotta, say, I wasn't expecting the amount of political talk and have been very pleased with it.

If you listen from the beginning, it used to be much more focused on the show. WW is so fucking annoying I think they started to talk about politics and current events to avoid talking about the show. Much more enjoyable to listen in its current form.

I've never watched a full episode of The West Wing because it's a walking simulator, but listening to hours upon hours of analysis of it paid off when they mentioned that script one of their friends wanted to write. The president casually tells Donna to deliver some paperwork to a building outside of the white house. She goes to a hallway, suits up in HAZMAT gear, and leaves the protective bubble around the white house. After trudging across the ruined wastelands to the State Department and delivering the document, she stops at a bunker. A little girl runs out and yells "Mommy! Mommy!". Donna hands her an apple. It's the most beautiful thing the girl has ever seen.

It was the most succinct description of 2030s liberalism I've ever heard.

Started at the beginning and the end (accidentally) at the same time. Finding that the run time of the earlier shows was about 45 minutes and the latest shows are something like 1hour 45 now.
