jfc she literally said she wasn't afraid because she had security

"I was never personally afraid because I had so much security for myself," said the California Democrat. "I was afraid for everybody else, and I'll never forgive them for the trauma that they caused to the staff and the members."

these people are absolutely terrible and this is the best dunk you can come up with? work harder

It still is a good take. I acknowledges the authoritarian mode in saying "I would've fucked them up", which is out of playbooks to appeal to authoritarian personalities. It is a discrepancy to reality though and I like my historical materialism in which an untrained person can hardly "streetfight" a handful of Neonazis trying to kill them(*).

Parts of what other she writes is good, but the "streetfight" bit is jokey/appealing to authoritarianism/disregarding of reality (maybe to feel safe?).

*: A lot of early 20s male 'Macker' antifa is about self heroification and warrior identity, what really is direct antifa work in case of physical altercations is preparation and collective action, not facing a group of Nazis alone

Look, I despise Pelosi and authoritarians of all stripes, but I have to read this as a joke. She completely refutes herself in the next sentence.

Even though Trump and Nazis use "I was joking" as a bad faith defense people do still actually make jokes. There's no way you're going to convince anyone of your analysis here.
