    It's probably a version of deliberately showing up in riot gear when it's not needed. One person throws a water bottle, knowing it won't hurt the armoured shock troops, and they use it as a justification for using the equipment in the first place and whatever insanely violent retribution they dish out. They're probably desperate for someone to try something ineffectual to justify a new wave of violence and cry for new laws preventing the identification of police officers like they passed in Spain and the police are pushing for here in the UK.

      In some states in the US, cops can get their drivers license with their station's address instead of their home address.

      Or, in other words, a fake ID, but it's legit and from the government.
