    Mass shootings are common enough that most don't make the news. I think the FBI defines them as more than 3 casualties in a non-gang-related shooting event.

      I'd bet you that CNN isn't excluding gang related incidents, which for what it's worth tend to lull in winter and come back in spring, so "the past month" being the beginning of spring, here's what you get.

      Often they'll use https://www.massshootingtracker.site/ for these numbers but 1.) MST's data entry monkey needs to get their fields right and 2.) I don't really see the locations on the map jibing with the database.
