Well yeah, the best way to lose your faith is to read the Bible. I was a scared Catholic who spent most of the time terrified of going to hell, and in High School I thought I'd actually read the book so I knew how to avoid it. Well, I read a few chapters and thought... people believe all of this? And then I got so scared of my doubts that I didn't read it again. The internal struggle that inspired - "If this is the book that my entire faith is based on, and reading it makes me question that faith, then maybe the faith isn't so infallible" - and that's what eventually led me to stop worrying and love the existential terror.
