Remember back when some of us could still enjoy lib media and like Stephen Colbert’s whole bit was talking about “truthiness,” to mock the shitload of lies and misinformation spilling out of the Bush admin? This guy has been a liar and a criminal his whole damn career and he’s being rehabilitated solely because orange man bad.

Are we the only ones who don't have goldfish memories? WTAF. I swear you could jingle your keys in front of half of these people and they'd be entertained for days.

He wasn't spreading falsehoods, he was merely spreading awareness about unknown unknowns.

Reports that say that something hasn't happened are always interesting to me, because as we know, there are known knowns; there are things we know we know. We also know there are known unknowns; that is to say we know there are some things we do not know. But there are also unknown unknowns—the ones we don't know we don't know. And if one looks throughout the history of our country and other free countries, it is the latter category that tends to be the difficult ones.

People really forget now that Bush saying dumb shit was a pretty widespread thing during his time. My grandfather had a dumb bush quote a day calendar.

He said dumb shit but don't think for a minute he wasn't actually somewhat intelligent. I say that because people tend to write him off as being a stooge for Cheney and Rumsfeld vis-a-vis the invasion of Iraq when he was absolutely a full participant who actively lied about it all.

Bush really lowered the bar for how much dumb shit a US president can say in public. Trump wouldn't have been possible without him normalizing that. Libs rehabilitating Bush is the best proof they have no object permanence.

I actually thought about bringing Reagan up as an example for normalizing erratic, reckless brinkmanship. I only learned that he had Alzheimer's shortly before his death, wasn't aware he pulled stuff like this when he was still in office.

These fuckers will never be able to rehabilitate him. The harder they try, the more obvious what they’re trying to do becomes.

Libs have already forgiven him because :tromp: bad and also because libs are lying shits who would naturally support other lying shits.

Their issue with :tromp: was that he was too stupid to hide the bad shit. It's all about appearances for libs. Biden is awful too but because he's superficially better libs support him.

Yep, said another way: libs aren't actually sorry about their support for the invasion of Iraq, they're just mildly embarrassed by it. Letting W off the hook allows them to let themselves off the hook for supporting something so heinous.
