Apparently she has a pretty hardcore fanbase, but who is it that's a fan of her? Why did she get so popular so fast? I don't exactly hate the songs I've heard, but I also am not seeing what resonates with (some) people so much

    Cant tell you much, but i do know body image is something she’s conscious about, usually seen wearing baggy clothes to award shows or shoots and stuff to hide any hint of a figure. Especially because she was underage when her career blew up, and i think that’s something zoomers can appreciate

      honestly it is pretty cool to see a young woman blow up in the music industry and not immediately be sexualized. it's one of the things I actually like about her a lot as an artist even tho I don't really listen to her music

        If she hasnt been sexualized it’s entirely because she’s fighting it. But i remember people dragging the “she’s finally 18” crowd on twitter, and :cringe: they are awful.

        I have no reason to believe the industry wont keep trying, but respect for her fighting it. She can either embrace it and flaunt it, or obscure it, what matters is she controls it. And i hope they dont try any fuckery to her because of it

          yeah thats what i mean. Its dope, good on her. no disrespect to female artists that want to explore sexually provocative art but it's nice to see someone go the other way with it for once.
