Mainly got it to read textbooks on, because fuck buying them or readings hundreds of pages on a laptop screen, but it's actually really cool and it's made me want to start reading more for personal enjoyment.
What books should I get for it? I'm open to all suggestions. Currently I've only got Moby Dick, in case I run into :amber-snacking: and want to impress her
I rly like Octavia butler's parable of the sower and parable of the talents. They're particularly prescient regarding America's political trajectory
I really enjoyed Debt: The First 5000 Years by David Graeber. The first chapter is the best part: it dismantles the basis of economics by debunking the myth of barter society ever existing. Most of the book covers credit relations throughout history. It covers similar ground to Engels' The Origin of the Family, Private Property and the State, if you've ever read that.
If you're looking for fiction, anything by Herman Hesse is great. Steppenwolf and Narcisuss and Goldmund are my favorites. He deals with secular spirituality very well.

I just started Ursula K Le Guin this year and have been enjoying her books. The left hand of darkness and the dispossessed are two I can recommend.
I also enjoy Cormac McCarthy's work a lot. Two from him- no country for old men and blood meridian
I haven't finished yet but, debt: the first 5000 years is an interesting read.
currently reading Border and Rule ("academic") and Cleanness ("gay").
i kinda miss my kindle and like other said, make sure to steal those books, or get from your library.
if you decide the library route, put your kindle in airplane mode and it won't delete automatically cuz there's no internet connection (this is what i read somewhere, someone can correct me if that info is not right)
