    I do not think most Americans have this view on them where they did nothing wrong and were infallible.

      They do exist, do not get me wrong, but they are not as prevalent as some people say.

            Typically they dodge that by saying they invented such an enlightened system of government that it caused their own mistakes to eventually be abolished, thereby crediting the founding fathers indirectly with every improvement that has ever occurred in this country's awful history, as well as implying that them owning slaves was some sort of honest mistake that they would have change their mind about eventually.
