Recently Diego Schalper (right wing politician) said that Pamela Jiles (leftist politician currently leading chilean presidential polls) doing a Naruto run as celebration in congress last year was actually a war dance of the Narutos, who are the warriors of the anime world and a symbol of the disdain that the Naruto soldiers have against authority
can't imagine that looks good to his fan base, where i assume people that watch anime and fascists overlap 90%.
It's okay, you can literally walk in their houses and burn their entire funko pop collection and they will still vote for you if you tell them the poor and/or any brownish person will be grinded into a pulp.
They will say it was joke and that they love it because it triggers the progres.
Kind of amazing how the spanish-latam far right is so blatantly copying Trump. Not LePen, Bolsonaro or other far right leaders, just Trump.
They can forgive racism, classism, misogyny, etc, but they would never joke with anime lore.
Back when there was discussion about the new constitution he tried to say that a new constituion would be a zapato chino “ (unnecesary problem) but said candado chino (putting your dick in your ass)
Recently he clashed with jiles saying she was doing a nepotism by promoting his partner in his election for governor while as a lawmaker she would vote on things related to the election
And now she calls him candado chino non stop and this feud is whats getting me through the lockdown
Oh wait so the video from a week ago with a woman calling Chalper candado chino was Jiles? Aw shit. Giving what you said I guess it's not THAT homophobic, but it's not ideal.
Yeah i dont remember any one here saying she was being homophobic (she just used his words) but she did get people criticizing her for calling him “poco hombrecito” which they say perpetuates gender stereotypes, so yeah not ideal
I just saw the video and without that context assumed that's what was going on. I even thought the woman was in the same party as the Schalper dude.
yeah, before this explanation i also had thought it was right-wing in-fighting.
I mean he has been consistently at about 15% in the polls. But polls today are not definitive, we havent entered primary season, the parties dont even know which party will be in which coalition for he primaries
