:deeper-sadness:

Edit: turns out cilantro apparently taste like coriander seeds, which I like. Weird phenomenon.

What about coriander? I like coriander and it comes from the same plant ffs.

(Yeah, I know, chard and beet are the same plant too)

So the dry seeds taste like the green leafs?

¿Then why the fuck I don't like the leafs?

As in the seed? That doesn't taste that much different than the leaves I find.

isn't coriander just another name for cilantro? from wiki

"Cilantro is the Spanish word for coriander, also deriving from coriandrum."

A lot of places call the leaves "coriander" and the seeds "coriander seed"

Other places call the leaves "cilantro" and the seeds "coriander"

Yes, exactly, but we call "coriandro" to the dry seeds that we mill and put in sfihas and "cilantro" to the green leaves that people put in salsas.
