Hate to say it, but I kinda relate to this guy, honestly. I was never really into art either, but then I saw a photorealistic mural of Goku from Dragonball Z (specifically in the blue outfit he had in the tournament in the last episode where he meets Uub), and he was holding two babies in his arms, one wrapped in an Israeli flag, the other in a Palestinian flag, with the caption "Let's teach these two the fusion dance."

I'll never understand the desire to bag on cartoons as a medium.

They're cheap to produce, particularly when you're aiming for high-end special effects. They're prolific and suffer minimal censorship. They're far more accessible than some limited-release paywalled prestige TV drama, both financially and culturally. The content and quality span the full spectrum from absolute dogshit reactionary garbage to Masaki feature film.

Truly a proletaritized artform. How can one be against anime and not hold reactionary beliefs?
