I know its a shitpost but honestly being a ML sucks, at least in the west.
I feel like I have to be closeted about it, haven't met a single other ML in my life, and the only political views I hear in my day-to-day life are shittakes.

You get to believe you're the nicest person on Earth while also supporting an oppressive status quo that benefits you.
It's people who benefit from the status quo and doesn't want it to change who also likes to think of themselves as good tolerant people who are against stuff like homophobia and racism.
Ignorance is bliss. If you're a liberal, you get to be the default. You get to believe that the world is just. You get to believe that there are people with tangible power out there who are genuinely doing good in the world. You get to agree with average people about almost everything, and the only things left to disagree on are so minor that they rarely get in the way of your relationships.
Because it's drilled into their heads 24/7 since birth, and they never think any harder than that.
