Am I the asshole for responding to the question "hey, would you like there to be NSFW tags on my BBQ [corpses] a week from now?" with "I would like that, thanks."

Hexbear users: a week's worth of struggle sessions about how vegans are lying assholes who are only pretending to have trauma to personally target carnists and make them feel bad

But it's the vegans who are assholes

I was working on implementing a tagging system before I quit as a mod.

But the real answer is that you should report any posts that you think should be tagged. Mods will take it down and ask that it be reposted with CWs.

Somehow these criticisms always come to roost on vegan posts like y'all only care when veganism comes up. It's not that hard, go report posts. Go write comments complaining about lack of tags on the offending posts, not here.

I did report the post and nothing was done, despite the post having full frontal nudity with intestines hanging out.

I'm not criticizing veganism. I'm pointing out that the NSFW is not enforced consistently, so the tag is kind of pointless currently. Things that should be tagged NSFW are not tagged as such and things that are tagged as NSFW are usually tagged that way as a joke.

If posts are mostly flagged as NSFW as a joke and animal product food is flagged as NSFW, then uninitiated people are likely to associate flagging animal product food as NSFW as being a joke.

You mention that the mods have to remove the post and ask that it be reposted with proper tags. Wouldn't it make more sense if mods had the ability to flag posts as NSFW without removing them?

Obviously, and it's in the works. You're welcome to volunteer as a dev. No one's getting paid to work on the site, let alone paid for crunchtime, so you'll just have to wait or help out.
