My "family" (white terrorists) tell me that ordering eggnog with my fascist credit card (VISA signature rewards) is "bad vibes".
My reading of it is that it's both:
- Drunk during Thanksgiving, which celebrates the holocaust of the native americans
- Made out of dairy, which is produced from the ongoing holocaust of sentient beings
Hence, double holocaust ?
That's what came to mind immediately due to mention of the disgusting fetus drink at least (well actually I only got it when people started mentioning thanksgiving in comments, I thought eggnog was a christmas thing in the US), possibly I'm completely wrong.

This is Holocaust denial OP deserved to be uninvited
This is Holocaust denial OP deserved to be uninvited
What ? The genocide of said sentient beings is real
comparing oppressed people to animals is OK because
Because they're both sentient beings, sharing the planet with us ? creatures capable of feeling ? if you don't need to kill them to survive, you're most definitely killing them for pleasure (indirectly through the "farmers" that bring you your animal products of course). This is not an argument you'll ever win, by the way (despite you trying regularly, and I assumed I'd see you here eventually, it's like catnip at this point to you isn't it ?). Eating animal products when you don't need to is exploitation, period, and is morally wrong.
Why is killing animals when you don't need to to survive somehow morally "better" compared to killing humans ? what the fuck is your criteria for assuming one deserves to live and not the other ?
That makes sense, and I agree. I was initially guessing the origin of the post's title, wouldn't be the word I'd choose either.
Even "genocide" is wrong, mind you; it supposes the eventual destruction of the target group as an objective. Current animal exploitation not only tortures and kills, it also makes sure there's always new victims available. A closer parallel may be slavery.
Definitely more of a christmas thing. At least in the midwest
Eggnog is shit.
- Hot cocoa gang
"Hot cocoa gang hot cocoa gang"
- Hot cocoa gang
is it just an 'egg' pun or are you referencing something more substantial?
i drench eggs in alcohol and then drink it while the egg is inundated with it
Fresh eggnog is the shit and all the seasonal punches are the best part of the holiday season.
Why is your family celebrating American Thanksgiving? Ours seems way better, less weird mythologizing of colonialism, no black Friday, most people don't even get the day off. You just kinda have a meal with whatever family is less than a half hour drive away.
You know those German freaks who dress up as native American people and role play as them and stuff? We do that with Americans on the hallowed day of American Thanksgiving and they eat KFC and bicker and watch football of some variety.
Oh, you have Americans. Tell em this is Canada and they missed their shot.
Firstly, apparently you can buy eggnog in a carton now which is bizarre and it also tastes bad. Secondly, I had some vegan eggnog made with soy milk and various oils which was surprisingly good. Loaded with cheap brandy and quality nutmeg, the way god intended
What's eggnog taste like, anyway? Haven't drunk any...
Melted icecream with mulling spices and enough alcohol to thin it out and make it burn going down.
Yep, going to dodge that drink if it's got that much alcohol to burn me... that being said, it's modifiable, right?
It's sold as just a mixture of the cream, eggs, and sugar. The spices and alcohol are things you have to add yourself. It's a bit too thick and sweet when it's not about a quarter rum or so, though.
If it's being made from scratch there's not much room for adjustment, since the alcohol is necessary to sterilize the mixture as it ages, though I've heard that in that case it mellows out after being aged for a few months.
The stuff you buy in stores should not even be able to be called eggnog.
The best part about real eggnog is you add in whipped egg whites which borderline changes the phase of matter of the drink its light and airy (and boozey) and fresher.
Like you said rhe stiff you get at the store tastes like and has the texture of slightly melted ice cream (not that there's anything wrong with that if it's what you're into)

Hmm I can understand why they put alcohol in it, besides it being a major component in texture and flavor...
I should note that's the traditional/origin recipe, where it's all made up at the end of summer/early fall and sits until the middle of winter. Most of it now is the pasteurized non-alcoholic mixer sold in stores in December.
Its pretty tasty, I like it with some cinnamon
Depends how much rum/whisky/liquor of choice you throw in there
Honestly I never really liked holidays much in general. They're a lot of work and they're mostly just kind of depressing since most of my family died forever ago or are clear across the country
