"Oh man I'm going to make this great anime about the dangers of otaku escapism and the importance of human connection. I sure hope nobody misses the point and falls into complete isolation to escape from reality"

God it depresses me how the message of Evangelion is "don't get caught up in consumerism" and then irl Eva merch is all over the place
'Is life worth living even if it's painful' is a distinct question from 'should I create life knowing it will be painful'.
I don't think it's inconsistent to say yes to the first and no to the second.
Isn't answering "no" to the second question preempting the ability of your hypothetical children from answering the former for themselves?
If so, is that not a greater abgrogation of agency than the hypothetical non-consent to being born? A person who no longer wishes to live life can choose to end that life. A person who was never born never gets any choice ever.
Also as a condition to consent or non consent first you must exist
By this logic shouldn't I be having as many children as fast as I can? Because every child I don't produce is a child who doesn't get to decide if they want to live or not.
This is a great message! I bet you have a lot of views on tiktok <3 <3
