Imagine growing up hearing of Tsarist Pogroms and Kristallnacht, and then literally doing the same goddamn shit. I cannot understand these chuds.
Where is their sense of shame? Where is the guilt they feel at spitting on the memory those who died and the meaning of their beliefs?
My least favorite Western brain worm is the idea that suffering and oppression begets wisdom and compassion. It leads to a sort of subconscious insistence that there must be a silver lining to the Holocaust.
