The right's obsession with Soros is so funny, their portrayal of him as a "great subverter" is almost correct, just inverted. He was running multiple USAID type shenanigans in the Soviet countries which opened to foreign investment. He was also doing similar activities in China during the student movement of the late 80s.
Their mine gripe is that he's the a sneaky globalist as you mentioned, that "subverts" countries into Communism. I said their view is inverted because the "subversion" he has carried out has historically been Capitalist.
