"We oppose US-backed war crimes and the continuing apartheid, including the ongoing bombing in Gaza and evictions in Jerusalem and the West Bank."
I haven't heard Toady speak politically before so that's unexpected.

I still remember watching a video a while back where he talked about the game and mentioned how he added eyelids into the game so dwarves weren't literally washing their eyeballs, or how he had to fix an issue that was causing cats to die in taverns from alcohol poisoning. It's crazy how much there is in that game; I've never played it but I've always wanted to (and yes, I am indeed waiting for the steam release so I can have a relatively easier to use UI).
For anyone unaware: dwarves sometimes get into drunk fights in taverns, spilling booze on the floor. Cats would walk over the alcohol and then lick their feet to clean themselves... then they'd get drunk, start puking uncontrollably and die.
Here's the bug report
That level of detail and interactions between details is what really makes the game brilliant. The world feels genuinely alive and you can never tell where the danger will ultimately come from or what it will entail.
