Honestly, the hate popstars get from music nerds is just so cringe. Like, there is nothing wrong with Charli XCX's music. Her past two albums have had some genuinely incredible songs. Music nerds need to get over their obsession with 30 year old bands.
Is Charli hated by music nerds? She isn't mainstream (at lest here in Poland) so the only people who even know who she is are the ones that are at least somewhat into music, maybe its different is US tho
Charli XCX is potentially the best artist making music today. She's right on the edge of the PC Music scene but packages it in a way that's way more accessible. Ever since Vroom Vroom all her songs are fantastic.
I think it's mostly because she works with good producers etc. Like I remember hearing some of her songs and being like wow, these are so different from old Charli and really good, and then I realized they were produced by SOPHIE.
Yeah bless up her choice to continue working with AG Cook. Have to give her a lot of credit for changing her sound and working with those producers at all though. She gave up a lot of mainstream boring pop star potential to become what she is today, and we're better off for it.
