I saw it during it's theatrical run. It takes out the worst extra scene from Redux - the playboy bunnies and the downed helicopter - but leaves in the monotonous scene with the French people. Original is still the superior cut, but seeing that shit in 35 was a helluva thing.
My dad watched the original in the theater multiple times, and thinks it may have been in 70mm even, but can't remember for sure.
Apocalypse Now! The Redux version is just too long, I couldn't even imagine watching the whole assembly cut.
My ideal cut of Blade Runner is the theatrical cut with the voice over removed

Might be worth it, but it's not like he didn't have full control over the theatrical release anyway. It was perfectly good as it was released
