    So like... how does this work actually? IDF kicks Palestinians out of their homes, then what? Does the state of Israel like, just sell it or something? That seems too close to "socialism" though (because the government would be doing stuff).

      There are sooo many mechanisms depending on where exactly we're talking about. Lawfare within 48' Palestine, withing Jerusalem and within the west bank are different. Different laws for different people (not apartheid I swear!). I think the most common one is the absentee owner laws if you wanna do some reading on it.

      It's so ridiculous that it's enough that you were absent from your house at a random day for them to decide you're an "absentee owner" and claim the house. See "present absentees" that one's mind blowing https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Present_absentee

      My favourite however is that 96% of all land (within "israel") is state-owned, see.. there's no "private" property, only 70-something years long "leases". Whoops, you lived in this house for generations? I'm afraid your lease just expired. We can "lease" it to someone else now, like this couple who just came from Europe. Socialism is when you ethnically cleanse the undesirable race.
