    China is a good scape goat, people forgot about the "Kung flu" thing, and nobody wants to face how badly the US handled COVID. The pump is primed for this, and as vaccine diplomacy becomes a thing, "Xi started this whole thing!" becomes a great line to use when pressuring countries to cut ties with China.

      If China invented a virus and unleashed it on their own populations because they believed that Americans would grossly mishandle it so badly and have that prediction be 100% correct, then Americans should want their own politicians to be held accountable lol

      It might work with countries already sympathetic to the US but won't work in the global south where the real battle over hearts and minds is being fought.

      All the words in the world mean squat compared to medicine for a sick person.
