Literally every site makes you pick the city first, and then tells you rent prices based on the size of the home. Why can't I find the inverse of that? Lots of people work remote now, surely that's not the issue, is it?

What about a rental site that shows you the location of empty apartments/condos/houses and the name and address of the landlord, so that you can kill them and then move into the house for free?

I really wanted to make something like this ages ago and started aggregating all useful data then got bored and stopped lol. The idea was to enter in the criteria you want and it lists all places that fit.

I want to sort by price and Köppen–Geiger climate classification.

It would be nice for the sites to let you do that. However, in most cases there is some prevailing city/region desire, if not a job then schools, proximity to family/friends/social circles, particular infrastructure, services, institutions.

The closest site I can think of like that is one called Apartment List. You still have to give it a general area, but it will give you the option to see apartments in surrounding towns. It's not the same as giving you whole different areas of the country though. It also only covers corporate apartment buildings, at least in my area.

You can do this... Set your filters then zoom out on like Zillow or whatever you use and remove the border of search
