WEAK MEN
Hard times create strong men
Strong men create good times
Good times create weak men
Weak men make me hard
"Weak men make hard times" I declare as I complain about receiving a paper straw instead of a plastic straw with my treats handed to me through a window into my air-conditioned truck with heated seats
muh cyclical theory of history
muh fascism is necessary in order to pay for a few generations of spoiled debauchery which then makes fascism necessary again
what a bleak way of looking at the world. also so obviously stupid
I talked to a chud my age at work who literally told me this meme in the most self-assured way you can imagine. Then he went on to talk about "human nature."
Then he went on to talk about "human nature."
Funny how it always comes back to that then the justification comes for eco fascism and killing a billion people because "humans are inherently evil".
He thinks climate change science is "paid for," by big green. At least he thinks this for now, until Dinesh D'Souza gets new marching orders and shifts the narrative for him. Then he probably will start saying this.
At one point he engaged in Columbus apologia, saying something to the effect that the natives were no angles themselves. I shot back: So that justifies enslaving or killing them? Predictably he says little to me these days because of that, cause he knows I'll push back on his chuddery.
These 'hard times' were the collapse of massive slave empires with very centralized power and a significant increase in living standard for common people. Like, you'd become a serf but it's a step up from slave.
I like how Fascists look at elites slowly clawing back concessions that were won in times of crisis and think "this is clearly because we don't eat enough raw meat."
So if baby boomers were born in the good times.... and we were born in the bad times....and Robespierre and Lenin were both formed by hard times....
This cliche is not looking good for CHUDs.
But I was told that Hard Times Come Again No More! I can't believe 19th century American parlour composer Stephen Collins Foster would lie to me like that!
