I just hate meeting someone in real life and then finding out she's a liberal or wants an incompatible life. On the apps I get a good sense of who they are before making a plunge
Dating apps are fine if you just treat them like a casual game. People have a bad time because they take that shit way, way too seriously, and companies like Tinder encourage that with these microtransactions.
