Such rioting is almost unprecedented in Dublin. There are no far right parties or politicians elected to parliament, but small anti-immigrant protests have grown in the last year.

        The stabber is not confirmed to be an immigrant, article says the police have not commented.

        Pure speculation: 60% chance it was an immigrant and the people on the scene propagated that info which caused the fascists to riot. 40% chance these hogs immediately assumed it must've been an immigrant even if it was an Irish person who did it.

          From what I understand, he was an immigrant but had been an Irish citizen for almost 20 years. So it's not like he was a fresh off the boat refugee. This would be like if a second generation, child of legal Mexican immigrant did a spree shooting and people used it to justify building a border wall to keep illegals out.
