    I mean, with this framing, you’re going to get this response because people think about their experiences and propaganda with drug addicts, which is negative.

    Why should we give drug addicts a home? The state should ensure their safety and welfare, etc.

    I mean, you could always nationalize healthcare and remove the criminalization of drug users so they are able to go to addiction treatment and outpatient care. Offer clean injection sites to stop the spread of diseases transmitted through sharing needles. And also, housing is a human right and everyone should be housed regardless of profession, your past, race, etc.
