They don't have any understanding of imperialism, so you'll get all sorts of awful, racist takes about how the global south can't pull itself up by its bootstraps; you'll get opposition to any sort of reparation/redistributive policy; and you'll get plenty of opposition to immigration, too.
It's an instinct that can be useful, but it shouldn't be mistaken for an informed or good take.
