Like these asshats knew damn well that pretty much everyone thinks that their games are ass, so they make these ads featuring fake games that actually looks interesting in order to trick people into thinking that they're downloading a good game.

I was a CM in the industry for a while. People that haven't worked in it really do not understand that it is actually much worse than it sounds. Like, half these new devs are basically kids. And all the dev studios are based in the middle of fucking nowhere so they have to relocate for their brand new minimum wage job that inevitably forces them to live with colleagues and build their entire life around work because there's literally nothing to do within any reasonable radius of travel. The exploitation and tricks and social engineering around their employees is sophisticated, planned and hellishly harmful to people. There is a reason most burn out in 1-3 years and then go on to a job outside the industry that pays 3-5x more than they were previously earning for exactly the same skills.
